I’m excited for 2012. I think it’s going to be a good year. I’m most excited about launching my footwear collection in time for Spring / Summer. I’m also excited about a few vacations already planned during the year. A retreat to an Italian villa, several trips out east to the Hamptons, time with family in Ireland and diving with sharks in Costa Rica. Hello 2012!
2011. How can I characterize an entire year in a few sentences? Major changes in my life along side an incredible amount of learning. Leaving my job, starting a business, designing a focused, niche shoe line and traveling to many places around the globe to find the right manufacturers to work with. I’d say one of the most important lessons the year taught me was patience. As my father used to tell me “life is a marathon Caroline, not a sprint.” 2011 was the year of building the business foundation and it’s complete. I’m ready 2012.

Welcome to the Caroline Cree blog about shoes, accessories and all things girly!
I’ve spent the last 10 years as an accessories designer in the corporate world. During my career I’ve designed shoes, handbags, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, tabletop accessories and more categories I know I’m forgetting!
In April 2011, I left my job as a handbag designer at Coach to pursue my dream of launching my own shoe line. I love handbags, but shoes are my true passion. Since then, I’ve been working behind the scenes to create a line that incorporates sophisticated embellishment while maintaining an attainable price.
I’ve spoken with so many people who have expressed an interest in what I’ve been working on that I decided it was time to start a blog. This will be a great place to share my experiences in starting a shoe line, talk about inspiration, discuss trends, and just about anything else that might be of interest to someone who loves fashion or is inspiring to start their own line.
